It is then matched to a six-speed automatic transmission. Four-wheel drive is optional, and rear-wheel drive is standard in both engines. When properly equipped, the Super Duty can tow up to 18,000 pounds, which can rise to 18,600 pounds upon further enhancements.

Standard safety features on the Ford Super Duty include stability and traction control, a full-suite of airbags, hill start assist and trailer sway control. Rear parking sensors come standard in the Lariat and upper trims.
